1. Install the Formstack Documents Package
   
   • Open the Formstack Documents package on Salesforce AppExchange.
   • Click Get It Now.
   • Choose the Salesforce environment where you want to install the package.
   • Complete the installation process.

2. Configure Formstack Documents in Salesforce
   • Open the App Launcher in Salesforce.
   • Search for Formstack Documents.

1. Connect Salesforce to Formstack Documents
   • Copy your API Key and API Secret from your Formstack Documents account.
   • Paste them into the corresponding fields in Formstack Settings.
   • Click Login to Webmerge.
2. Create a New Document Template
   • Go to the Documents tab.
   • Click New Document.
   • Enter the document name and click Next.
   • Add merge fields such as {$Name} using Formstack syntax.
     
3. Upload the Template
   • Formstack provides two options:
   • Upload an existing Microsoft Word document.
   • Create a new document directly inside Formstack.
   • For this example:
   • Click Choose File.
   • Select your Word document.
   • Upload the file.

   • Next, connect each Formstack merge field with the appropriate Salesforce field.
   • For every Formstack field:
   • Select the corresponding Salesforce field.
   • If needed, use a SOQL query to retrieve related object data or custom values.

1. Open the Document from a Salesforce Record
   • Navigate to any record of the Salesforce object you selected in your mapping.
   • On the record page: Open the Document button.
   • Salesforce displays all Formstack Documents associated with that object.
   
2. Generate the Document
   • To create the final document:
   • Click Merge Now.
   • Formstack retrieves the Salesforce record data.
   • All merge fields are automatically replaced with Salesforce values.
   • The completed document is generated and is ready to download, email, or store.
